the sumlin family
The week before I left on my New York and Canada trip I had 2 family sessions, an engagement session, bridal session, and a wedding to shoot. Once I came back from my vacation I had a ton of pictures waiting for me to edit, along with all the shoots I have been shooting since I have been back. So you can imagine just how much editing I have to do right now, on top of doing all my teaching responsibilites after starting back last week. I am slowly making my way through everything, and I have been enjoying the pictures from my sessions.
This post is dedicated to the wonderful Sumlin family! Shea, Tiffany, Emma, Sara, and Abigail were my models while Shannon Sewell was in town giving me a mentoring session. They were fabulous and they all had a great time, even after one of the girls threw up over one of her outfits right before we started the session! Shea Sumlin is actually a very special person to me, he is the college pastor of the church Jessica and I attended while we were in Denton and he was the one who married us! Shea is a great friend, pastor, and father; he was one of the first people I remember meeting when I went to college before he came the college pastor of our church. It was an honor to have him marry Jessica and I and I was so happy that him and his beautiful family were willing to come to Dallas and spend some time getting their pictures taken. I mainly stayed behind the scenes on this shoot because I wanted to see Shannon do her thing, but I had my camera and used it every once awhile. Here are some of my favorite shots that I took during our time together. Thank you Shea for everything!

Wonderful picutres. They truely capture the joy and love this family shares. You can almost feel them laughing. My favorite is the third one down, you can see the sparkle in the little girls eyes. You certainly have a great future. God Bless.
