Well it is time for everyone to hear from me again! I have been on a tiny vacation with my wonderful wife. We just got done celebrating our 2 year anniversary! We were one of those couples that got married on 7/7/07 at 7p.m.! It has been a great 2 years thus far and we have both grown so much together since the first day we were married. I love how much better I am because of her! I am blessed to have such a great women in my life. But now it is time to get back to business! I have plenty to share with everyone so keep checking back!

I’ll first kick it off with a senior session that I never got around to posting! You’ll recognize Jenna from her family session that I posted last month! I coudn’t believe I forgot posting it because it was a great and fun session. We started out at her home in Denton and then we moved on over to the square. I never grow tired of Denton! Enjoy.

I got to shoot a senior session a few weeks ago with a very fun senior named Lindsey! My wife and I have known her mom for years now, while we attended Denton Bible Church. Lindsey did a great job being herself and just having fun during our session. Seniors are fun to shoot because we just get to walk around, talk, be silly, and take pictures. I love my job! Well here are a few of my favs! Thanks Lindsey for a fun time. Enjoy.

High School Senior Sessions are quickly climbing the charts of some of my favorite sessions to shoot, and this particular session is no exception! I have known Morgan for a few years now when I started student teaching with her mom in an elementary school. They moved out of the area but knew they wanted me to do Morgan’s senior pictures and I was so honored when they drove 3 hours to come for their session! We met up in Deep Ellum and had a fun time just walking the streets, although that area has changed a lot since my high school days! Morgan did such a great job during the session and I am glad we got to take these pictures. Thanks for coming to visit again! Enjoy.

I have been excited about sharing this post ever since I finished this session this past Sunday! Meet Keli, she is a Senior this year in Mesquite, TX. Keli and I attend the same church in Forney (Community Life) and her and her mom Di went on a mission trip to New York with me and my wife during the summer. We had been talking about doing these senior pictures since the summer and it was so great to finally get them going! We had such a good time as we shot around the Forney area, we ended the session at this old barn that is very popular for seniors as you will see in the pictures below. We thought we would join along in the fun and brough gold spray paint and made sure we got Keli’s name on there and 2009. Her school also has a theme each year and this year the theme was “peace”, so you will be seeing little references here and there. Kelli was a natural in front of the camera and she told me before the shoot that all she could do was pictures where she was ’smiling’ and couldn’t do serious, I’ll let you all be the verdict on that one! Thanks Keli for letting me shoot your senior photos. Enjoy!

Oh and in other news, ever since I upgraded to wordpress  2.7 my comments stopped working and everyone would get an error. It was a sad day and I could not figure out a solution to the problem. Well wordpress just released an upgrade and fixed the problem so everyone can leave me comments again!!! So make sure if you are stopping by for the first time or a regular vistor who has something to say leave me a comment! I would love to hear from people again. I haven’t had a comment in 2009 yet!

It has been quite a long time since I have had the opportunity to shoot another high school senior session. I love getting to hang out, meet new people, get to know them, and find out how to incoporate all of that into their session so their personality shines through. Ally and her parents were awesome, and we got to have some fun walking around the square in Denton and we go to do some shooting in a loft on the Square and hang out on the rooftop for some pictures thanks to my friend Stormy Shippy! For this shoot Ally let me know that she is a dancer and that she is a Christian and wanted that to show through somehow in her pictures. So we got everything she brought along and I worked everything in throughout the shoot and tried to keep everything as natural as possible, and not let anything turn out ‘cheesy’. These are some of my favorite images from the session. Enjoy!
