Happy Monday! I am starting off the week strong with a post right at the beginning of the week, I just added a post yesterday as well so make sure you check that one out if you missed it!
Meet the English family. Jessica and I go to church with Steven and Rayellen and we are also blessed to be able to call them our friends. It can be so hard for people to make new friends anywhere especially when you can be shy and reserved like my wife and I can be. But when Jessica first met Rayellen and I first met Steven it was so easy to be ourselves. After only a few times hanging out we all felt like we had been friends for years which is so great to be able to do! Let me not forget to mention little Landen either! He is such an awesome and fun kid to hang out with. He has a natural droopy right eye in case you are wondering when going through the photos, but that doesn’t stop him from looking like a stud in these photos! He is always full of energy and so smart! So in a nutshell you can say Jessica and I LOVE this family and love any time we get to hang out together. Enjoy!

It is that time of the year for families to get their family photos done and put on holiday cards to send out to family and friends. I have been quite busy with family shoots, and have plenty to share with everyone. Make sure you stick close to the blog these coming weeks for more families and cute babies.
This family is no exception, meet the Anderson family. Laine Anderson is a wedding photographer in the Dallas area who I have had the pleasure shooting with as a second shooter. She has been so gracious with help and information as I am getting my own business off the ground. We all met up at the Dallas Arboretum a few weeks back and spent the morning walking around a few places and just capturing them playing with their beautiful baby girl Piper. Piper was in good spirits that morning which makes shooting a breeze!
Thank you Mark and Laine for allowing me to shoot this session for you, and being so laid-back and fun to work with. I look forward to capturing more of your family in the future. Enjoy the pictures!

I got to spend an evening with the Millen family at their home a few weeks ago. One of the things I enjoy most about spending time with a family is getting to know a little about them and capturing their personalities through a lens. It is fun stuff. Kennedy is their little girl and she was just adorable during the session, she was ready to show me her whole house, her new little brother Gavin and show me her playhouse in her backyard. Thanks for the fun time Casey and Christian! Enjoy the pictures.

I had the pleasure of spending my 3rd session with the Mclain family and take more pictures of baby Ella. I cannot believe how much she has grown over these past few months and how different she looks!
Here is Ella in the belly of her mom.

…and here is Ella during our second session together…

Now take a look at her! Enjoy the pictures!

Time to share some more pictures with everyone! Trust me the problem is not having anything to post, it is more like having so much to edit that I don’t have time to post! So keep checking back a couple times a week because I promise I have plenty to share.
This shoot marks the first time that I got to use my Canon 5d, yep I upgraded to a semi-professional camera, time to step away from the consumer 30d camera and to bigger and better things. Now all I gotta do is save up for the 5d markii! I was so excited to use my new camera for this shoot and had everything ready to go and packed away, got in my car and drove out to the square in Forney, TX, I parked and got my case out and started getting my camera out and my lenses and what did I quickly realize? I forgot ALL of my memory cards! Oh my, was I not happy about forgetting something so simple and important. So I had to book it down the street to CVS and luckily they had ONE 2gb CF card and it was on sale. So I got lucky and didn’t have to drive all the way back home. Other than that little incident, getting to use the 5d was awesome! I love the look of all my images straight out of the camera. But I won’t bore everyone with those details, all you photographers know what I am talking about though! It is a whole new world.
This family is actually more of MY family. Andrea is the sister of Monica who I did family pictures for back in the summer. I love love love Andrea and Branden and of course Mikayla and Nyla, I feel so blessed to have family like this. We had a good time in the square in Forney, TX and we just walked around and found some cool little spots to shoot. Overall this was some good times! Enjoy the pictures.
